Supporting FGI Mentees on the Journey to Collegiate Athletics

At FGI, we understand that many of our mentees are student-athletes with dreams of continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

However, the path to playing college sports has become increasingly complex and competitive.

Over the past few years, changes such as evolving NCAA transfer rules, a saturated recruiting landscape, and heightened expectations for college coaching staffs have made it more challenging for high school athletes to get recruited. These shifts have created new barriers and raised the stakes for student-athletes and their families.

To help our mentees navigate this journey, FGI is proud to introduce Recruiting Consulting Services designed specifically for student-athletes and their families.

Our goal is to provide personalized guidance, education, and strategic support to empower each athlete as they pursue their collegiate athletic goals.

Through these services, student-athletes will gain insights into:

◦  How to effectively communicate with coaches

◦  Building a standout athletic and academic profile

◦  Leveraging highlight reels, social media, and exposure events

◦  Understanding scholarship opportunities and eligibility requirements

For the 2025-2026 academic year FGI plans to have:

• Zoom Workshop Sessions with College Coaches, covering:

◦  Best practices for timing and frequency of outreach

◦  Crafting personalized messages that stand out

◦  Insights into what college coaches look for in prospective student-athletes

• Navigating Prospect Camps

◦  Support in identifying the most beneficial camps to attend

◦  Financial assistance for mentees who need help covering camp costs

• Recruiting Support

◦  Helping mentees develop a strategic plan to increase visibility and success in the recruiting process

By equipping our mentees with the right tools and knowledge, FGI aims to remove barriers and open doors to new opportunities in collegiate sports.
